I make paper planes that actually fly far, and fortune tellers that tell your future. Here is how YOU can make them too:
🛩️ Paper plane (flies far!)
- Fold in half the long way (tall like a door). Run your fingernail along the fold to make a sharp crease, then open it flat again. That middle line is your guide for everything.
- Fold the two top corners to the middle line so they touch it exactly — no gaps, no overlap. Now the top looks like a roof.
- Fold the slanted edges to the middle again. The point at the top gets long and sharp — that's the nose of your plane. Crease hard!
- Fold the whole plane in half backwards so the folds are hidden INSIDE and the sharp nose stays at the front.
- Make the wings: fold one side down so its edge lines up with the bottom of the plane. Flip it over and fold the other side EXACTLY the same, so both wings match.
- Open the wings flat like a T and throw! Hold it under the middle, point it slightly UP, and throw smooth and gentle — a soft throw glides way farther than a hard one. 🎯
🔮 Fortune teller
- Get a perfect square. If you only have rectangle paper: fold one corner over to make a triangle, cut off the extra strip, and open it — square!
- Fold corner to corner to make a triangle, open it, then fold the OTHER two corners together and open again. You'll see an X of creases pointing at the exact center.
- Fold all 4 corners into the center, one at a time, so their tips touch the middle of the X. Now you have a smaller square.
- FLIP the paper over — this is the step everyone forgets! — and fold all 4 corners to the center again. Even smaller square.
- Fold it in half both ways (like a book, then like a sandwich) and open each time. This makes it bendy so it can open its mouth.
- Slide your thumbs and pointer fingers under the four square flaps on the back, then pinch and push together — it pops into a little beak that opens two ways!
- Decorate it: colors on the 4 outside flaps, numbers 1-8 inside, and write 8 secret fortunes under the inside flaps. Then ask someone: pick a color... 🔮
